Buffalo starts out with a win...

After being ranked No. 18 in the ACHA Division I pre-season rankings, The University at Buffalo started the regular season out with a 6-2 win Friday night at the Amherst Pepsi Center against ECHL member Syracuse University. Captain Sean Smith tallied 4 goals & freshmen Andrew Michaels and Eric Wilson notched their first collegiate goals. Senior John "Bubba" Czaplinski recorded the win between the pipes. UB was once again required to be strong on the penalty kill, spending nearly half of the game short handed, but the Bulls pulled through in "true blue" fashion. Next game for Buffalo is Sunday at Niagara University at 7:30pm.
