UB Cancels Weekend Games Due to October Storm

The University at Buffalo Men's Ice Hockey was forced to cancel games with Syracuse University (10.13) and Mercyhurst College (10.14) due to an unexpected snow storm that hit the Western New York area Thursday, October 12, 2006. This storm left the majority of the Western New York area without power including many of the team's players, coaches and administration staff. The Amherst Pepsi Center was also left without power which lead the team to cancel both weekend games. The team will reschedule both games; however the specific dates and times are still undetermined. This website will have the date and times of the rescheduled games as soon as they become available.

While the Western New York area and the hockey team are anxiously looking forward to getting things back to normal the team took its first step back Tuesday. The team held practice Tuesday morning at the Amherst Pepsi Center in preparation for its first road trip of the season. They will head out to Michigan to face 12th ranked Oakland University and 16th ranked Eastern Michigan.
